Datsun on-DO prepared for the Russian market

The Datsun automobile brand is nowadays almost forgotten although it had great success with the 510  Fairlady roadsters and later the Fairlady (240Z) coupes. However resurrection arrived in countries like Indonesia, South Africa, India and Russia, once Datsun has released its long waited model, the Datsun GO. Now the brand is on an ascendant line and it is in process of preparing the Datsun on-Do to go on market.

The Datsun on-DO is a family sedan which will be available only in Russia. It has already entered production at the local Togliatti plant. The vehicle is expected to offer affordability and quality. The vehicle came as a result of a partnership between Renault-Nissan Alliance and AVTOVAZ. The five seats vehicle is being manufactured with techniques that have been developed and refined during the evolution of the Renault-Nissan Alliance, which in fact was established 15 years ago.

The Datsun on-DO provides high levels of safety, spaciousness and equipment. In addition, its designers and developers created it thinking at the rough road and difficult weather conditions in Russia. The Japanese brand established the pricing of the on-DO. It starts at 329,000 Roubles (about 9,578 US Dollars) and it will be available for pre-order from the second half of July. The sales are scheduled to begin by the end of the summer.
