Nissan is about to finish the 266 bhp 1.8 liter engine

Nissan is a company that is constantly at work, trying to design and manufacture various types of vehicles meant to please as many people as possible. And it does this with the idea that any car they make should be a symbol of freedom and a reflection of the owner’s personality. One of the projects they have long been working at is the development of a new engine that should soon power some of the brand’s vehicles.

To be more specific, Nisan is developing an engine especially for the Nismo-badged models. We are talking here about the 4-cylinder, 1.8-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that is capable of outputting 266 bhp (198 kW). The powering unit will be set at first in a Nismo variant of the second generation Qashqai. This is planned to have its official debut in February 2015.

The same 4-cylinder, 1.8-liter turbocharged gasoline engine could be in charge of powering the long awaited Nismo version of the Nissan Pulsar. It will probably be having the same figures. If the Qashqai Nismo is said to be revealed in February 2015, the Pulsar Nismo will come after that, in the second half of the year. The officials at Nissan already said that the Pulsar Nismo will offer at least 284 bhp (184 kW) so this engine seems to be the appropriate one.
