When you say Land Rover you instantly say sport utility vehicles. But the Land Rover is no ordinary SUV. It is luxurious by all means. And taking into account the origin country, Great Britain, it can’t be otherwise. The British brand has recently presented the 2014 Land Rover Discovery facelift on the occasion of the Frankfurt Motor Show and here we are now with some other news regarding the vehicle.

The Land Rover Discovery Sport has not long ago gained a new camouflage wrapping and now we hear it will arrive in the UK as a seven seater, too. The SUV will actually have two seats in the third row, confirming that the company is trying to target more to families in the compact SUV class. The new version hasn’t been officially introduced yet, but a number of vehicles have left Halewood, UK, the assumed manufacturing place, heading for a trip across the world which should be the final test before entering production.

The new Land Rover Discovery Sport will be powered by a variety of petrol and diesel four-cylinder engines. The British company has previously announced that the first mass production engine will be a turbocharged 2.0-liter diesel. The new generation Discovery Sport will enter sales in 2015 and this 5 + 2 configuration should raise the income of the company.
