For most of the people, the automobile represents a degree of freedom, an expression of personality and the symbol of an individual lifestyle. Sportiness, elegance, avant-gardism or refined luxury, are criteria which large-scale manufacturers wish to meet. Chevrolet is an important name in the auto field which tries to fulfill these criteria. And Chevrolet has just announced the pricing for the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06.
The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is the most powerful and technologically advanced vehicles in the entire General motors’ history. It comes both as a coupe and as a convertible in three trims, the 1LZ, 2LZ and 3LZ. The vehicle is being powered by a supercharged 6.2L V-8 engine, developing 650 horsepower (485 kW) and 650 lb-ft of torque (881 Nm).
Some of the most advanced technologies are found on board, such as the third-generation Magnetic Selective Ride Control, Performance Traction Management, and an electronic limited-slip differential direct injection and Active Fuel Management. The new Corvette will also feature for the first time the innovative Performance Data Recorder (PDR), which allows users to record high-definition video, with telemetry overlays, of their driving experiences on and off the track. Furthermore, Z06 offers three increasing levels of aerodynamic downforce. The first one is the standard Z06 which is equipped with a front splitter, spats around the front wheel openings, a unique carbon-fiber hood with a larger vent, and an aggressive rear spoiler.
The second level is in fact a carbon-fiber aero package which can be had in either carbon flash paint or a visible carbon-fiber finish. This pack contains a carbon-fiber front splitter with aviation-style winglets, carbon fiber rocker panels, and a larger rear spoiler with a fixed wickerbill. At last, the third Z07 package adds larger winglets to the front splitter, as well as adjustable sections on the rear spoiler for track use. The starting price of the Chevrolet Corvette coupe is $78,995, while the convertible begins at $83,995.
