Kia Sorento gets an American look

Each car manufacturer has something special in its fleet of vehicles. But the most important thing is that every day they try to set new standards of quality. This happens to Kia, too. And as all respectable Asian brands, Kia is one of the most innovative companies that need to surprise the future. The company has just released a few pictures which represent the 2016 year model of the Kia Sorento specially designed for the American market.

The American Kia Sorento will be distinguished by its European sibling, presented in Paris a month ago, by new alloys. It will be equipped with a set of flashy chrome wheels. The same shiny theme will be also noticed on the side mirrors and chances are this finish will be reserved to the upper-spec models. The crossover features "ice cube" fog lights inspired by the ones on the Optima and the Euro-spec cee'd GT models. There aren't too much information available about the model at the moment but Kia Motors America stated  that the 2016MY Sorento will be available in L, LX, EX, SX and SXL trim levels and with up to three-row seating.

As a reminder, the Kia Sorento European model can be had either in five or seven seats versions. The engines powering it are a four-cylinder 2.4-liter gasoline engine which produces 188 HP and 241 Nm. The other engines are the 185 HP and 402 Nm 2.0-liter and 200 HP and 441 Nm 2.2-liter turbodiesels. There are huge chances to see the first one in the U.S.A. More details will emerge on 18th November at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
