Bentley Grand Convertible Concept revealed

Bentley is, by all means, a name in the car industry associated with opulence and excess. Modesty is not one of their characteristics, especially because everything they do needs to be uncommon and the target is made of the upper class persons to whom luxury is a necessity. The car manufacturer from Crewe has just introduced the Bentley Grand Convertible Concept, although in a few hours its official debut will take place in Los Angeles, at the biggest auto event of the moment.

The Bentley Grand Convertible Concept is supposed to be a preview of the future Azure. The sophisticated luxurious car is based on the Mulsanne convertible and is characterized by a familiar design but gets rid of two doors and receives a retractable soft top. The vehicle has also got a Sequin Blue exterior paint scheme with liquid metal accents on the hood and windscreen frame. Inside the cabin there is one word that can be used: luxury. The vehicle features diamond quilted leather seats, Sequin Blue accent stitching and acres of wood trim, as well as a splendid Burr Walnut tonneau cover with the largest piece of wood veneer ever used on a Bentley.

The Bentley Grand Convertible Concept is powered by a 6.75-liter V8 engine that outputs 530 bhp (395 kW) and 811 lb-ft (1,100 Nm) of torque. The company did not offer detailed specifications but emphasized that the convertible will have effortless performance to match its unparalleled style. If the vehicle reaches production phase it will certainly be a highly exclusive, extremely limited collector’s piece.
