SsangYong Tivoli is getting closer

SsangYong Motor Company is the fourth largest South Korean automobile manufacturer. Its name means double dragons. And it’s got for sure the attitude, the power and the impressiveness of such a force. And since the crossover segment is developing fast and it seems to be in the most favourable period ever, SsangYong is preparing to introduce its future coming B-segment crossover, called the Tivoli.

The SsangYong Tivoli got its name from a town near Rome, Italy. The crossover has already been teased through the XIV-Air and XIV- Adventure concepts presented at the Paris Motor Show a month ago. But now we have the certainty of it name being Tivoli. The vehicle will most likely have 4195mm long just like the already mentioned XIV concepts. The car will ride on a 2600mm wheelbase so it should be roomy enough while the layout and design follows the rules of South Korean automakers.

The SsangYong Tivoli will probably keep the same engine configuration as the XIV concepts. So it might be powered by a Euro 6-compliant four-cylinder 1.6-liter gasoline and some other diesel engines. We will find out exactly in the following months because according to the manufacturer, the vehicle will enter sales in January in South Korea and then globally by the middle of 2015.
