BMW 6-Series facelift ready for NAIAS

BMW is certainly one of the busiest companies in the auto field. New models, extravagant concepts, tuning programs etc. are all on the Germans’ visit card. Now, among other things, they presented at NAIAS in Detroit a facelift version of the BMW 6-Series.

The BME 6-Series is considered by many people to be one of the most attractive BMW models, so the officials had plenty of courage to try and come with a facelift on the vehicle. Despite the facelift title, there are not too many refreshing elements brought to the car. The visitors at NAIAS can admire the M6 Coupe, 650i convertible and 650i Gran Coupe designed through the company’s Individual program.

The BMW M6 model, the cherry on top of the 6-Series, is powered by a twin-turbo V8 4.4-liter engine which generates 560 HP (412 kW) and 680 Nm (512 lb-ft) of torque. This should be enough for the vehicle to do the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in about 4.2 seconds and to reach an electronically-limited 155 mph (250 km/h). Of course that BMW offers the optional M Driver's Package which can take the limiter up to 189 mph (305 km/h).
