Buick Excelle restyled for China

Buick holds the distinction of being the oldest active American marque of automobile and the original Buick Motor Company was a cornerstone of the establishment of General Motors in 1908. Now in 2015, the American company GM has introduced the Buick Excelle especially for the Chinese market. The manufacturer did some visual and mechanical modifications compared to the standard vehicle.

The Buick Excelle features new bumpers, new radiator grille and restyled headlamps and taillights. On the inside, it is distinguished by a completely new dashboard with touchscreen display at the center, new dials and steering wheel.

The Buick Excelle will enter the market in March with new engine types. A 1.5-liter engine producing 113 HP (83 kW) will be available on the entry-level and it will be mated with either a 5-speed or a 6-speed manual transmission. A 1.4-liter turbo petrol powering unit outputting 140 HP (103 kW) will be linked to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The vehicle also benefits from a new independent rear suspension.
