Citroen DS4 receives new engines

A while back, Citroen entered the crossover market with a new model, the Citroen DS4. Te premium car resembled a lot with the regular C4 but this doesn’t seem to stop the French manufacturer to stick with its ideas. So here we have three new engine types for the vehicle.

The first new engine for the Citroen DS4 is called the THP 165 S&S EAT6 and it combines a well-known 1.6-liter turbo with a six-speed automatic gearbox developed by Aisin for the 308. No surprise here, but that's probably because the DS4 also received a PureTech 130 S&S three-cylinder petrol last year.

The best thing is represented by the two diesel engine provided for the Citroen DS4. The first one is called BlueHDi S&S 150 and is in fact a 2-liter turbodiesel with stop-start tech and a 6-speed manual gearbox. At 150 hp, it generates 370 Nm (273 lb-ft) of torque. The second diesel is the same BlueHDi S&S 180 EAT6 powertrain found on the Peugeot 308 GT warm hatchback. It outputs 180 PS and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. The French company also states that the inside of the DS4 has also been improved, but we are waiting for more photos.
