Mercedes-Benz Concept V-ision gets hybrid power

Of course that Mercedes-Benz has to possess some of the stars acting on the Geneva stage. One of their cars, exhibited at the Geneva Motor Show this year, is the Mercedes Concept V-ision. This time we are talking about the plug-in hybrid version of the minivan.

The Mercedes-Benz Concept V-ision is powered by a 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 210 HP (155 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft), mated with a 122 HP (90 kW) and 340 Nm (251 lb-ft) electric motor. The total system output is rated at 333 HP (245 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. These figures enable the vehicle to do the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) run in about 6.1 seconds and to reach a maximum speed of 206 km/h (128 mph). This means that it is quicker than the V 250 BlueTEC top engine variant. The average fuel consumption is declared 3.0 liters per 100 km with CO2 emissions of 71 g/km. The MPV concept can use 50 km only the electric mode with up to 80 km/h (50 mph).

The Mercedes-Benz Concept V-ision is based on the V-Class and it is distinguished by new sporty bumpers and skirts, a rear spoiler and a set of 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. The interior cabin of the Concept V-ision features a roof manufactured of glass, white nappa leather for the two executive seats and two iPad holders integrated into the driver and front-passenger seat backrests. The concept vehicle combines environmentally friendly performance with the lightness of modern luxury and it should be materialized into a production car.
