Volkswagen GTI Supersport Vision ready for Grand Turismo 6

Germans definitely make a few basic rules in the auto field, as some of the most appreciated brands in the world are the German brands. Volkswagen is one of them and this is also noticeable in computer games. After a long series of teasers the Germans have decided to finally reveal their ultimate vehicle, the Volkswagen GTI Supersport Vision Grand Turismo, specially designed to play an important part in the Gran Turismo 6 game.

The virtual Volkswagen GTI Supersport Vision Grand Turismo is inspired by the Golf GTI and it is actually a successor to the GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo. The supercar is distinguished by a super aggressive body kit with widespread use of carbon elements. That’s how the power-to-weight ratio is 2.5 kilograms per horsepower. “Proportions and body surfaces have been optimized for an extremely low center of gravity”, as the Volkswagen officials state. The vehicle features a massive lower radiator grille and a huge splitter in the front bumper, a prominent roof spoiler and a rear diffuser.

The virtual Volkswagen GTI Supersport Vision Grand Turismo is powered by a VR6 TSI engine producing 503 PS (370 kW) and 665 Nm (491 lb-ft). It works linked to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and a 4MOTION all-wheel drive system, which should be enough for a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint in 3.6 seconds and a maximum speed of over 300 km/h (186 mph). Judging the looks of the supercar, it’s got a well-worth place in the game.
