Fiat 124 Spider prepared for L.A. Show

Lately, Fiat got us used to taking risks. And those risks have always been turned into successes. So here they have another attempt at consolidating their position in the auto field. They do this by preparing the Fiat 124 Spider.

The Fiat 124 Spider should resemble the Mazda MX-5 Miata. The roadster will be distinguished by an entirely different exterior design which has already been finished and approved by the chiefs at FCA. The interior will only borrow a few elements and pieces from its Japanese relative so the whole picture might be an updated cabin with an Italian style.

The Fiat 124 Spider will have the official debut in November at the Los Angeles Auto Show which will begin on the 17th November. The configuration of the engine is still a mystery by now, but it might be a 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo coming in different power stage, with at least 140 PS (103 kW), having an estimated curb weight of less than 1,000 kg (2,204 lbs). A Fiat Abarth is also expected, with a more aggressive body, beefier brakes and a sportier suspension. We expect more details soon.
