The 2016 Chevrolet Volt is one of the vehicles that enrich the Chevrolet fleet. It has been officially introduced at this year’s NAIAS. It should enter the American market in the second part of the year and here we have the first prices confirmed.

The least expensive Chevrolet Volt is priced at $33,995 MSRP, and this includes a $825 destination fee. The price tag makes it almost $1,200 cheaper than its predecessor. By including the maximum federal tax credit of $7,500, the vehicle’s pricing can be reduced to $26,495. The clients who live in California, which is Volt’s biggest market, can pay for it only $24,995 thanks to the local incentives.

The Chevrolet Volt is powered by a hybrid powertrain made of a 101 bhp 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, 149 bhp electric motor and 18.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. This entire setup is 12% more efficient than before and also 100 lbs (45 kg) lighter. It can use only electric power for up to 50 miles (80 km). Recharging the battery from 0 takes abound 13 hours from a 120V outlet. If all these are satisfactory, you are free to purchase the American vehicle.
