Volvo V40 Carbon gets a Polestar upgrade

Volvo and Polestar Performance have already got us used to creating interesting projects together. The last one they did is based on the Volvo V40 R-Design. The project has received the name Carbon. This special edition will be a limited one, with 343 units to be built. They are specially destined for France, Finland, Japan, Sweden and Netherlands.

The Volvo V40 Carbon edition is distinguished by a carbon fiber roof, carbon fiber mirror caps and a set of special 19-inch alloy wheels.  The hatchback also features black accents and black tailpipes. Stepping inside the cabin we can easily notice some carbon fiber sill plates and red seat belts.

The Volvo V40 Carbon edition is powered by either a T5 engine that has been upgraded to generate 253 PS (186 kW) and 400 Nm (294 lb-ft) of torque, this being an increase of 25 PS (18 kW) and 50 Nm (36 lb-ft), or by the D4 engine that outputs 200 PS (147 kW) and 440 Nm (324 lb-ft) of torque, this meaning an increase of 16 PS (11 kW) and 40 Nm (29 lb-ft).
