McLaren 620R is the limited edition street version of the 570S GT4

Mclaren 620R is inspired from the racing version 570S GT4 and represents the street-legal variant of the GT4.
Under the hood we can find both on 620R and 570S GT4 the same V8 engine, the M838TE 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged. On the street car Mclaren didn’t had to comply with the restrictions from the championship and the 620R is even more powerful with a peak power of 620PS and also 620 Nm of torque. With this power the 620R needs only 2.9 seconds for a 0-100 sprint, while from 0 to 200 km/h the new Mclaren can accelerate in just 8.1 seconds and 322 km/h is the top speed which can be achieved by this street-legal model.
The SSG gearbox (7-speed Seamless Shift Gearbox) and the Inertia Push technology used in the Track mode make the drivers to whish to never come out of the car.
The 620R doesn’t only share the same engine with the 570S GT4, but also the same chassis from carbon is used. These makes the 620R have a weight of only 1282 kg, so 0.5PS per kilogram.
Other elements borrowed from the racing version are components from suspension with 2-way manually adjustable coil-over, ceramic brakes with 390 mm discs, forged aluminum brake calipers, front bumper, splitter or bonnet.
Factory equipment include Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R semi-slicks, but for those who want motorsport slick tires can also be prepared. For security of the driver Mclaren used racing seats with 6-points harnesses.
The production of the model is set to debut next month, in January 2020 while the first deliveries are expected only one month later, in February, and the starting price of the car is set to around 300.000 euro.
