2020 Skoda Rapid facelift has been unveiled in Russia and we are able to see many improvements to the current version. The car comes with triangular LED headlights and due to this the car looks a lot like the SCALA model available on the Europe’s market. In front, the bumper has been redesigned, it looks now more sporty and the SKODA logo in integrated into grille.
The rear of the facelift Rapid was also inspired by the SCALA model and if we are looking at the taillights we can see the L-shape and the car looks wider. The rear bumper is also reshaped and on the trunk we have a thin spoiler. SKODA letters are covering the rear side of the trunk as well.
Inside the car we have a very similar to SCALA layout but with few new improvements as an digital instrument panel, 6.5-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, USB, heated windscreen and wheel and many other.
The engines available for Russia are 1.4-liter TSI in 4 cylinder which can deliver 125PS with a 7-speed DSG transmission with dual-clutch. An 1.6-liter MPI is also available with 90PS or 110PS with manual 5 or 6 speed.
Volkswagen Group Rus factory from Kaluga is the location where the facelift model will be produced and the customers will be happy to buy the car from the next year’s spring with a price which starts from 829000 rubles, about 13000 dollars.
