Fisker Automotive unveiled its first production car, the Fisker Karma at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The first of its kind four-door plug-in hybrid premium sport sedan will have a starting price of $ 80.000. The first 99 cars off the assembly line will be individually numbered and signed by Henrik Fisker and will be produced in the color and trim of the show car seen at NAIAS. The car features cutting-edge plug-in hybrid technology developed by Quantum Technologies exclusively for Fisker Automotive. It has a small gasoline engine that turns the generator, which charges the lithium-ion battery pack, powering the electric motor and turning the rear wheels. The model is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 6.0 seconds with a dramatic sprint to its top speed.

The Fisker Latigo has as base the BMW 6-series Coupe and like the Tramonto, all electronic and safety systems remained untouched, every vehicle option is yours to choose from, and only 150 units will ever be made. The model will be powered by a 4.8-liter, 32-valve V8 engine that will produce 360 horsepower and also an optional 5.0-liter V10 will be offered that will produce 500 horsepower. Every technological feature remains intact, including the home-theater quality Logic7 audio system and the optional heads-up display.

Fisker developed the 2006 Tramonto, a model that has as base architecture the Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG. The model is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and can reach a top speed of 202 mph. At the touch of a button on the console or the remote locking device, the power-retractable hardtop transforms the two-seat Tramonto from a coupe to roadster in only 16 seconds. Fisker joined forces with Kleemann to create the 610 horsepower supercharged V8. The tuner also offers a high-performance brake system that is fully compatible with Mercedes-Benz Sensotronic Brake Control, Anti-lock Braking System and Brake Assist. On the inside it features Sand and Raised Sand leather. The driving experience is rounded with technical elements as the standard COMAND system with DVD navigation and the digital Bose Cabin SurroundTM sound system.
