In March 2011, Koenigsegg debuted at Geneva Motor Show with Agera R, a Hypercar, inspired by the legendary Speed Racer theme. The car is equipped with Michelin tires, and it is white like snow. The pre-production car still managed to achieve success and received ...
Koenigsegg has created the new Agera. The model is able of delivering 850 horsepower running on regular petrol and 920 Nm of torque. The electronically adjustable rear wing comes with auto setting or manual control to decrease the compromise when it comes to low drag and down force.
The new traction control is the fastest reacting in the industry with auto adapt functionality to different road conditions and driving styles, but also some manual settings.
Anyway, the model is able to take the carmaker to the next level on road and on track when it comes to the experience. This might be the only car that has the same amount of usability and performance on the market.
The name of the model comes from the Greek word Ageratos that means ageless, so this vehicle is a testament to time as the CC was created 15 year ago and it is still fresh, ...
NLV Solar AG, a pioneer in photovoltaics and accumulator technology, have joined forces to create the Quant sport. The brainchild of this marriage of power and energy is a four-seater electric car - a breakthrough the market eagerly has been anticipating f
Koenigsegg developed the Trevita, a model that has visible carbon weave body work. As we all know, the carmaker is always trying to create new technology and find new solutions. This time it had managed to coat fibers with a diamond finish.
The Koenigsegg specialists will only build three Trevias hence the name and this makes it one of the rarest versions in the Koenigsegg family cars.
All three of them are equipped with Shimmering Diamond Weave bodywork, double carbon wing, paddle-shift, a new exhaust system, carbon ceramic brakes with ABS, airbags, chromo instrument cluster and tire monitoring system.
All these elements make the three cars be very special and also very valuable.
Koenigsegg and NLV Solar AG decided to create together the Quant. This is a four-seat solar electric car that combines power and energy. It will be revealed at the 2009 Geneva Salon. The two companies are working now at the production version.
The carmakers offered a unique blend of supercar looks and the space of traditional luxury sedan. The car will carry four grownups in comfort and also, at the rear it had a spacious boot. The battery-powered vehicle is able of delivering 512 horsepower and 715 Nm of torque. It can also reach a top speed of 275 km/h.
This model is proof that supercars can combine speed, comfort and enjoyment with environmental integrity. This also reinforces Koenigsegg and brings it again in front when it comes to innovative high-end automotive design and manufacture.
Different clients asked Koenigsegg for a Limited Edition. The carmaker developed two: the CCX and the CCXR. The car features a 5.0-liter twin turbocharged engine and a lot of other special features.
On the inside it has color matched leather carpets, Edition side step plates, Edition chronograph instrument cluster, new edition only layout for the center consol control panels, but also carbon wheels, special interior trim and color, rearview camera and sat-navigation or Bluetooth.
The carmaker will build 14 CCX models that will produce 888 BHP. It will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of more than 400 km/h. Koenigsegg will also build 6 units of the CCXR that will produce 1018 horsepower. This model will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and it can speed at more than 417 km/h.
Koenigsegg revealed the CCXR Special Edition. The model is a two-door car that features a hardtop. The visible body is made of carbon fiber and it is able of high performance thanks to its carbon fiber rear wing.
It features a V8 cast aluminum 4-valves/cylinder engine that is able to deliver 1018 BHP at 7.200 rpm and maximum torque 1060 Nm at 6.100 rpm. It is able of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of more than 400 km/h. The braking distance from 100 km/h is 31 m. The fuel consumption indicates 18 l/100 km on the highway and 22 l/100 km on a combined cycle.
Koenigsegg revealed a new instrument cluster with intuitive display of all important information, the new Koenigsegg Chronograph Direct Focus Instrument Cluster. The most interesting element it features is the Patent Pending tri-axial 3D three pointer layout. With this layout the connection between the velocity, engine speed and boost pressure becomes very clear in a second.
Due to this system, the driver can re-direct focus from the instrumentation to the road ahead at least 50% faster in comparison with traditional systems as he will only have to look at the relationship and the angles between the needles and how they interact and not the actual numbers.
The design is Scandinavian and inside features exclusive materials. Also, for weight saving, there have been implemented aluminum door hinges.
Koenigsegg managed to create the Bio Fuel Powered CCXR - environmental friendly 1200 with even more spectacular performance than the standard CCX model.
This performance is possible due to the simple fact that the ethanol in bio-fuel has the positive side effect of cooling the combustion chambers, which gives the high power. The car is able to deliver 1018 horsepower and 1060 Nm of torque.
There is the possibility all CCX models to be transformed by the factory to accept bio-fuel option and reap the performance and environmental benefits of this wonderful and eco-friendly fuel.
The upgrade for the CCXR was developed in-house by professional and talented technicians. The CCXR is the first model in production to be homologated to reach more than 1000 BHP.
Koenigsegg developed a new race car called the CCGT that has as base the production version of the CC-model range. The engine is based on the CCX production engine, with no superchargers, but enlarged to 5.0-liter.
The CCGT model has very short overhangs, which could be seen as an issue when it comes to generation enough down-force. Thanks to its design, the carmaker believes it had managed to create a unique package that incorporates a surprising amount of down-force combined with a very compact package and optimal weight distribution.
The model has superior agility in comparison with the rest of the competitors and this might help in its racing future.
The engineers managed to do a good job refining the CC into the CCGT. The engine is being developed in-house together with the production units by the engineers of Koenigsegg.
Koenigsegg manufacturer decided to update their V8 supercar, the CC S8. The first new model will be delivered after the 2002 Geneva Motor Show. Its body and chassis are made of autoclaved carbon-fiber and this is why it is extremely strong and resistant to corrosion.
The car is powered by a semi-stressed supercharged and intercooled Quad Cam 4-valve 4.7-liter V8 engine that is able to deliver 655 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. This figures combined with its small outer dimensions makes it perfect for use in a supercar.
The power is being sent to the wheels through a specially made 6-speed gearbox by Cima that has been used in racing, even in Formula 1. It incorporates an internal oil pump for reliable lubrication and large oil cooler and so it takes the strain from the huge force of the engine.
The carmaker designed the body of the CC S8 to incorporate ...
The CCR is the hardtop version created by Koenigsegg. The model has all the features of the CC 8S, but a more refined design of the side air intakes, different headlight arrangement, larger brakes, a more powerful engine and so on.
The power figures are being achieved thanks to the use of a specially made Swedish Lysholm twin-screw compressor and a new exhaust system made of titanium. This feature enables the engine to produce up to 806 horsepower at 6.900 rpm and 920 Nm of torque at 5.700 rpm.
The model is decorated in the honor of the Swedish Fighter Jet Squadrom No. 1, with a ghost symbol. The ghost was actually their symbol.
Carmaker Koenigsegg developed its CC model. The 2001 version in comparison with the 2000 version model was equipped with a single unit headlight instead of the triple headlights. The rest of the elements have not been modified so much. This is one of the strongest differences between the two supercars.
Koenigsegg created a supercar called the CC. It has a mid engine and it was built to excel on the road and on the racetrack and offers fully comfortable long distance travelling. So far, it is the fastest street-legal car in production. It can reach a top speed of 240 mph and it can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in less than 3.5 seconds. The body and chassis were both made of carbon fiber.
The carmaker developed a suspension system, modeled from Formula One racing that is able to provide better handling than any competing supercar. Its supercharged engine is able to deliver 655 horsepower and 553 lb. ft. of torque.
It features perfect aerodynamics that has been achieved without affecting the aggressive look. The luxurious interior is covered by a hard-top roof-panel that can be easily removed and stored under the front hood.
The CCX is the latest model Koenigsegg has developed. The name comes from Competition Coupe X. It commemorates the 10th anniversary of the completion and test drive of the first CC maiden prototype.
The model features a new set of body and interior parts. There is a further 50 mm in headroom, making the CCX the most spacious super car on the market, exactly what taller drivers need. The carmaker had developed a new seat design. The structures are still carbon, but now it features fully added front surface and a tilting backrest.
The CCX has wholly digital, intelligent fuse and rely unit and also, the engine in the CCX retains the incredible power and performance of the CCR engine. A special fuel system has been implemented with pumps integrated into the new fuel tank. The new and cleaner CCX engine also incorporates the first engine block design that is ...
