At Geneva Lancia is presenting new features on all the models in the Ypsilon, Musa and Delta ranges in terms of both style and power units. For these important previews a highly attractive and stylistic stand has been created, based on a haute couture show
It will be introduced at the 2008 International Paris Motor Show, a Lancia Ypsilon VERSUS show car produced with the Versace Group brand that will also dress the models on the stand with garments chosen to suit the expressive motifs of the exhibition space
Lancia developed the Delta model, one of the first cars in a new Lancia philosophy. The model confirms itself as a veritable living-room able to accommodate passengers in a unique environment for class and comfort, as well as being highly technological. In terms of power, you should know that its petrol and diesel power units are distinguishable by the innovative technology and performance. All turbo-charged are coupled to a six-speed manual, robotized or automatic transmission. The carmaker offers three options: a 1.4-liter petrol that produces 120 or 150 horsepower Turbo Jet and a 1.6-liter that produces 120 horsepower Multi Jet turbo-diesel which will be coupled to an advanced robotized transmission. To these will be added two new engines: a 2.0 Multi Jet that delivers 165 horsepower and a 1.9-liter Twin-turbo Multi Jet that can develop 190 horsepower. The range will be completed by a 1.8-liter Di Turbo Jet that produces ...
Lancia will present the Delta at the 78th Geneva International Motor Show. This model is proof that the Lancia has the ability to reconcile its traditional elegance with original architectural solutions which harmoniously blend the assertiveness of a sports car with the onboard well-being of a saloon for the first time. For the inside there were used luxury materials and harmonious colors and offers unbeatable travelling comfort. The new Delta offers a high level of technology in terms of entertainment exemplified by Bose Hi-fi radio incorporation a CD player and MP3 file reader with steering-heel mounted controls. Elegance is conveyed by the lines and materials, but also by the relationship of the car with the outside world.
The new Lancia Musa now makes its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The model has even more attractive, modern styling thanks to a number of elements that reflect new market trends. The customer can tailor his new Musa as the carmaker offers 5 different interior outfits, 14 bodywork shades and 4 new liveries. The new model is equipped with a 1.4-liter 16-valve engine or a 1.3-liter Multi Jet 16-valves one. The first one produces 70 or 90 BHP and the second one 95 BHP. The standard and optional equipment varies to some extent on the different markets. Some offer airbags for the driver and passenger as standard equipment, with manual climate system and wiring for a radio. Technical fabrics transform the passenger compartment into a pleasant living environment.
The new Ypsilon Sport by MomoDesign makes its debut on the Lancia stand. The new Ypsilon range addresses young motorists who are looking for a sporty car at an accessible price. The model will can be found on the market from the end of June in Italy and will subsequently join the new Ypsilon range on all the other markets. It is powered by a 1.3-liter Multi Jet 16-valve that produces 105 BHP and 200 Nm of torque. It sends the power to the wheels through a 5-speed gearbox and it reaches a top speed of 177 km/h. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.3 seconds. Also it has a 1.4-liter engine as option that is matted to a 6-speed ...

To celebrate the centenary of Lancia and the long standing collaboration between the marquee and the Milanese coachbuilder for its Sport versions, Andrea Zagato decided to create a Lancia Aprilia Sport model, a car that is identical to the one his grandfather built in 1938. The whole process begun from two faded monochrome photographs, the only remaining source of very precise information. CAD modeling and CNC machining technologies were used to reconstruct the plans for this version of the Aprilia Sport. The body-work was skillfully hand crafted by master panel beaters. In the end, the specialists have managed to bring the concept into reality.
Lancia developed the ECV as a prototype Group S rally car to replace the Lancia Delta S4 in the World Rally Championship competition for the 1987 season. The Group S and Group B were banned from competition by the FIA in 1986 due to safety concerns and the ECV never raced. As a replacement, Lancia introduced the Group-A Lancia Delta. The model was powered by a 1759 cc twin-turbocharged engine that is capable to produce more than 600 horsepower. However, Group S rules artificially limited the engine to develop 300 horsepower to limit speeds. The carmaker used a lot of carbon fiber to save weight and add strength. The ECV2 is made out of aluminum honeycomb, carbon-fiber and Kevlar.
Lancia developed the Delta S4 that is part of the Group B rally car. The model competed in the World Rally Championship in 1985 and 1986, until Group B cars were banned from competition by the FIA. The S4 was on position and took full advantage of the loose Group B regulations. It was powered by a mid-mounted engine and also it had an all-wheel-drive for superior traction and handling. It was able to develop 550 horsepower and to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds. In competition the car won its first event, the 1985 RAC Rally. In 1986 at the Corsican Rally there was a crash and the legacy of the car was tainted.
Lancia developed the Stratos to win the World Rally Championship. Two versions of the model were shown, one during the 1970 Turin Motor Show and another a year later. The road version of this car was built to satisfy the homologation rules. The road version had noisy cockpits and did not have a cabin air circulation. The model is powered by a V6 mid-engine with a 2418 cc displacement that is capable of producing 280 BHP at 7800 rpm and 203 lb. ft. of torque at 6000 rpm. The power is being sent to the wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. The body was built by Bertone and light-weight fiberglass was used whenever possible, the rear spoiler provided down-force and channeled air into the engine ducts. If the vehicle rolled-over the spoiler was actually strong enough to take the impact of the tumble.
The Stratos was developed to win the World Rally Championship. Actually, two versions of the Stratos were shown, one of them during 1970 Turin Motor Show and the other one, a year later. The road version was built only to satisfy the homologation rules. In 1973, the Stratos won its first rally it participated in. The model was equipped with a V6 engine with a 2418 cc displacement that was capable of delivering 190 BHP at 7.800 rpm and 167 lb. ft. of torque at 6.000 rpm. All this amount of power was being sent to the wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. The Stratos was able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.0-seconds and reach a top speed of 130 mph.
The Lancia Delta HPE Concept Car is having its world premiere at the 63rd edition of the Venice International Film Festival. The car takes its inspiration from the practical, sporty, elegant car concept embodied in the Lancia Beta HPE during the second hal
