Lotus decided to improve the Exige GT3 and so, prepared it for the 2008 GT Championship that will take place this weekend at the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix. It has as base the European race car that competed in the FIA GT3 category and it is powered by a 1.8-liter engine that is based on the same unit found in the Exige S road car. It is now able to produce 261 kW and 305 Nm of torque. Thanks to the aerodynamics, the model is able to deliver 320 km/h. The major changes are more evident on the rear, with the bodywork extending 8 cm rewarded, widening 10 cm and loosing almost 3cm in height at the rear deck. The design is now a bit more conventional. The carmaker also worked on the 1.8-liter VVTL-I four-cylinder engine of the Toyota 2ZZ-GE that improved its performance.

Lotus revealed the 2-Eleven at the 77th Annual Geneva International Motor Show. The model will only be available in Launch Edition specification. Also, the Lotus 2-Eleven is priced at EUR 49.575 in Europe. The recommended selling price will be EUR 39.995. in the United Kingdom, the car will cost EUR 1.100 more, including the delivery, pre-delivery inspection, first service, number plates, first registration fee, valet, 12 months road fund license, a fuel tank of fuel and SVA tests. The model is powered by a supercharged and intercooled 1796 cc engine that is able to deliver 255 PS. The carmaker will start production in April 2007 at the manufacturing facility at the Lotus headquarters in Norfolk, UK.
