The 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 Convertible was the most powerful Oldsmobile production ever created. The model is capable of developing 445 horsepower and 500 lb. ft. of torque. The W-30 was an option package on top of the 1970 Oldsmobile 442 model and some special features for the new model which included an engine capable of developing 5 extra horsepower. The only other supercar from those times to equal the maximum torque numbers is the 1970 Buick GS. The total production for W-30 convertibles in 1970 was 264 units. Few survived and still remain in the world today.

The Toronado is equipped with a 1.070 horsepower twin-turbocharged V8 GM Performance Parts prototype crate engine that combines sophisticated style and cutting-edge technology. The model sits on 17-inch Bridgestone Redline tires and custom aluminum wheels designed to evoke the look of the original hub-prominent versions. A center console was crafted to fit between the bucket seats. The dashboard is original, although a couple of instruments have been added. The engine is capable to produce 1000 lb. ft. of torque at 7000 rpm. The power is being sent to the rear wheels through a C5 Corvette transaxle. The basic suspension - aluminum double wishbones with a transverse leaf spring, both in the front and the rear - was retained, although new springs and Bilstein shocks were added to fine tune the handling of the car and support the heavy steel body of the Toronado.
