The Ultima GTR is the fastest accelerating and decelerating road car on the planet by setting a new world record time of 9.9 seconds for the 0-100-0 mph sprint. The standard factory production specification Ultima GTR was powered by a 377c.i Chevrolet V8 engine capable of delivering 685 BHP. The model accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds and to 100 mph in 5.5 seconds which are themselves world record times, and managed to stop the car from 100 to 0 mph in 3.9 seconds. The world record was strictly conducted, overseen and verified by an official from Datron Technology who are acknowledge by the Guinness Book of Records and the motoring press as official timekeepers, using state of the art Microsat GPS equipment.
Ultima offers its sensational Can-AM in component form to the US enthusiasts. Customers will benefit from technical support during their supercar build project. The model represents a modern interpretation of these amazing machines. This car is perfect for the track and for the road as well because of its increased levels of interior comfort and finish. Under the hood it has a Chevrolet V8 engine mated to a 5- or 6-speed Porsche transaxle. This enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds.
The new Ultima GTR was launched in 1999, after no less than 14 months in development. It is capable of reaching a top speed of over 200 mph using the high performance engine option developed by the carmaker. It uses the chassis and suspension package already road and race tested in the existing Sports model, but from here on, the GTR has required a comprehensive redesign. The model is also available in component form, for assembly by the home enthusiasts. The GTR will be launched in America, South Africa, Australia and Japan. It seems that Ultima wants to continue building some of the most exciting road cars available in the world.
The Ultima GTR road car set a new record time of an incredible 9.4 seconds for the 0-100-0 mph sprint. The model is also capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 2.6 seconds and to 100 mph in 5.3 seconds. It can return to 0 mph in 3.6 seconds. This new catalog of Ultima world records was once again strictly conducted, overseen and verified by an official from Datron Technology. The Ultima GTR720 used for these records, which is a company demonstrator, was driven to and from the test venue. The Ultima Factory managed to set the world record from sprinting from 0 to 100 mph and back for three years in a row with their 200 mph supercar.
