Acura TL Type-S 2007

The 2007 Acura TL Type-S boasts 286 HP and 256 lb-ft of torque, receiving its power from a modified version of the 3.5-liter VTEC V6, which can also be found in the Acura RL. Enhancing an emotional and athletic impact, the Acura TL's exterior has received a number of updates, without compromising the high build quality, durability and resale value that Acura buyers expected. Its design beautifully embodies endurance, agility, power and aggressiveness. The wide track and the short front and rear overhangs set the tone, while the sheet metal with its long wheelbase, shows the contrast of angular lines and muscular tension. The bumper was also redesigned with horizontal trim and satin chrome crossbar, while the fog lights were repositioned from headlight cluster to lower valance. The Type-S exclusive features include black chrome grille trim, 10-spoke alloy wheels in Dark Euro Silver, smoked rear side marker lights, wider, more aggressive side sill moldings, as well as exclusive rear bumper with trunk lid spoiler diffuser. The elegant and sporty interior of the TL shows instruments and controls which were arranged in a way that they created an intimate cockpit, providing a feeling of control and connection. The stylish, dynamic and distinctive interior also offers highly supportive seating and generous front and rear headroom. The driver is able to dial a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone by voice due to the standard Acura HandsFreeLink system and the higher-resolution Multi-Information Display offers an array of driver preference settings and displays warnings. Carbon fiber trim replaced the wood trim, the front seats are more highly bolstered, and the available six-speed manual transmission contribute to the special features of this car model. The active safety features include an array of technologies together with advanced construction techniques and high-grade materials. The front passenger seat incorporates weight sensors in order to determine the weight on the seat and if it is less than 65 pounds, a warning message appears on the instrument panel. The high level of passenger protection is also ensured by the standard side curtain airbags and adjustable rear outboard head restraints. As far as powertrain is concerned, the available engines include the 3.2-liter V-6 with 24 valves and Acura`s VTEC(R) - Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control system, producing 258 horsepower and 233 lb-ft of torque and the 3.5-liter SOHC V-6 aluminum alloy engine, which produces 286 hp at 6200 rpm and 256 lb-ft of torque at 5000 rpm. The all-new electronically controlled 5-speed automatic is the standard transmission in the TL and TL Type-S, featuring more torque capacity and being more compact.
