Buick ShangHai LaCrosse Chinese Version review:
BEIJING (AFX) - Shanghai GM, a 50-50 joint venture between General Motors Corp and Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp (SAIC), has introduced its LaCrosse premium sedan, a member of its Buick lineup, to the Chinese market.
In a statement, Shanghai GM said the vehicle has been engineered and developed specifically for the China market, with deliveries scheduled to start in the second quarter this year.
Customers can start placing orders from today, the automaker said.
Based on the model of the same name sold in the US since last year, the LaCrosse was re-engineered in Shanghai by the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center, a joint venture of GM and SAIC.
The automaker said it is offering three LaCrosse models -- the 2.4 Luxury model priced at 239,800 yuan, the 2.4 Elite model at 269,800 and the 3.0 Flagship model at 329,800 yuan.
