Chevrolet Corvette 2007

The 2007 Chevrolet Corvette is announced to deliver more power, passion and precision, providing a whole new standard of performance car excellence. The world premiere of the C6 Corvette Coupe took place at the North American International Auto Show, beautifully blending expressive style with technical sophistication. The car appears to its enthusiasts as more agile, boasting improvements of handling, braking and acceleration. Based on GM's new Gen IV small-block family of engines, the new LS2 6.0-liter small-block V8 is the standard engine available for the 2007 Corvette C6. It ensures a high level of performance, delivering 400 HP and 400 lb.-ft. of torque, thus becoming the most powerful small-block engine offered by a Corvette. It has the best combination of fuel economy and horsepower, placing itself among the world's best performance cars. The all-new interior represents the central element of the 2007 Corvette, being defined by the highest quality materials, functionality as well as craftsmanship, offering nothing but excitement and driving pleasure. Its many electronic technologies include Keyless Access with push-button start, while optional features comprise a reconfigurable head-up display, DVD-navigation system with voice activation, XM Satellite Radio and OnStar. Superior lighting performance is ensured by Xenon High-Intensity Discharge, while the exposed headlamps are a first since 1962. The drivers get the possibility to choose between three suspensions, thus being able to select the setup that best fits their driving style. The Corvette Coupe performance is brought very close to the levelof the admired Z06, due to the Z51 Performance Package, which offers more aggressive springs and dampers, as well as larger stabilizer bars, providing optimum track performance capability, without affecting the ride comfort.
