Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 07

The 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible boasts new features that define it as groundbreaking sports car that appeared as completely new in 2005 and was again enhanced in 2006. The vehicle weight balance is improved by the car's rear transaxle, while a six-speed manual and a six-speed paddle shift transmission featuring automatic modes is also available. The car model receives a strong visual identity due to the exposed headlamps and dramatic fender forms and the fascia together with the tapered rear deck considerably improve the high-speed performance. The car's excellent aerodynamics is enhnaced and the road noise is reduced through the power-operated soft top with the 3LT package. The interior of the car was heavily inspired by the dual-cockpit heritage, providing high quality materials, craftsmanship and functionality which all ensure premium performance driving. Cast-skin foam-in-place trim that looks like a leather-wrapped, covers the instrument panel, while two-tone modified perforated leather seating surfaces featuring crossed flag, is also available for the 2007 Corvette. The audiophile owner gets a number of choices, among which the improved optional Bose audio system integrating an in-dash six-disc changer and XM Satellite Radio, is also included. The hydroformed steel rail backbone structure of the Corvette Convertible shows cored composite floors, an enclosed center tunnel, an aluminum cockpit structure, as well as a rear-mounted transmission. The drivers are allowed to choose between three suspensions setups that best fit their driving style. There is an optional Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension which comprises magneto-rheological dampers which are able to adjust the damping rates and detect the road surfaces in order to obtain optimal ride control. The Corvette Convertible is brought very close to the admired previous generation Z06 thanks to the Z51 Performance Package, which offers the enthusiasts larger stablizer bars, more aggressive dampers and springs, Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar EMT tires, all of them ensuring optimum track performance without affecting the comfortable ride.
