Ford Mustang GT California Special

The 2007 Ford Mustang GT California Special impresses its enthusiasts with its unique style and high-performance elements. It is going to hit the car markets in late summer as a stand-alone option package on the 2007 Mustang and it can be ordered as either a coupe or convertible. The new California Special strongly inspires from the Shelby GT, offering that king of limited-production exclusivity that made the original California Special so popular over the years. The hottest selling car in America remains the Mustang and the most obvious proof is that the upcoming Shelby GT500 has made Ford enthusiasts run to dealerships all over the country and ask for information as they were interested in acquiring the most powerful factory Mustang ever produced. The 2007 California Special is expected to surpass the sales total of its predecessor of nearly 40 years ago, when 4,325 copies of the GT/CS were sold. The car model is meant to reach that group of customers who desire something special and not the ultimate performance. The 2007 Ford Mustang integrates an aggressive front fascia that features in turn a chin spoiler placed 1.5 inches lower than the Mustang in order to increase cooling performance through the larger air opening provided. At the rear, the 2007 version receives a cleaner and more refined appearance due to its dual exhaust system and to its performance tires and 18-inch polished aluminum wheels. Joe Siler, Design Manager, Ford Vehicle Personalization, informed the public that they had taken the spirit behind the original Cal Special and created a more customized Mustang for customers everywhere. The interior is enhanced by exclusive touches that start with a cabin dressed either Dove or Parchment environments, including black leather seats with unique Cal Special Dove or Parchment GT Leather inserts. In addition, the GT/CS interior is distinctive and stylish thanks to the matching front floormats that integrate special Mustang badging. Regarding the powertrain, the three-valve 4.6-liter V8 engine raises an output of 300 HP, giving the car the look of a custom car show.
