The 2006 Jeep Wrangler 65th Anniversary Edition was designed as a tribute to the 65 years of Jeep off-road capability. The unique features of the special edition models of the 2006 Jeep Commander, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler and jeep Liberty, will receive a lot of admiration from their enthusiasts. John Plecha, Director, Jeep Marketing and Product Planning, the Chrysler Group, stated at the 2006 Chicago Auto show, that the Jeep vehicles had become an authentic benchmark for off-road capability since they were first mass produced in 1941 and the 65th Anniversary Editions paid an homage to the legend that was Jeep. The available colors of the Jeep 65th Anniversary Edition vehicles are Light Khaki, Dark Khaki, Bright Silver, Black and a new color, Jeep Green. The pricing of the Jeep Commander 65th Anniversary Edition is $28,880 for the 4x2 version and $30,880 for the 4x4 version, comprising a 3.7-liter V6 engine, while a 4.7-liter is available as optional. Based on the Laredo E package, the Grand Cherokee is priced at $28,755 for the 4x2 vehicle and $30,725 for the 4x4 edition, featuring a power sunroof, unique 17-inch Ronin aluminum wheels with gray accents as well as unique interior bezels. Based on the Sport C package, the Jeep Liberty 65th Anniversary edition features a price of $24,095 for the 4x2 model and $25,605 for the 4x4 edition, comprising unique 16-inch Mechanica aluminum wheels painted sparkle silver, unique floormats with Jeep 65 logo, unique console trim as well as special Jeep 65th anniversary logo.
