Lotus Exige S - Fastest Car

The latest addition of the Exige range is represented by the Lotus Exige S, an eye-catching car that boasts an oustanding performance and it weighs only 935 kg. It receives its power from a high reviving supercharged engine that raises an output of 218 HP, rocketing to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds. The air to air intercooler works as efficiently and effectively as possible in all climates and environments thanks to the addition of a slightly redesigned air intake and roof scoop. Its engine size places it among the most powerful cars in the world and it is not an aftermarket special, being produced from start to finish in the world award winning Lotus Manufacturing facility at Hethel, Norfolk. The fact that is lightweight does not affect its performance, as the car achieves 160 km/h in 9.98 seconds, with an impressive fuel economy of 91. liters/100 km in the combined cycle and 7.2 liters for extra urban. According to Lotus representatives, there are not many cars on sale that are able to match the speed, safety and agility of the Exige S, whether it is about track or day to day driving. The driving experience offered by the Lotus Exige S is unique, due to the torquey engine and the classic Lotus suspension. Clive Dopson, Managing Director of Lotus Cars, stated that the Exige S embodied the ultimate extreme production Lotus, featuring a performance that exceeded other supercars which costed twice or even three times as much. In the interior, the driver and passenger are hugged by the lightweight composite seats with proBax technology, together with a steering wheel that is a small off-centre leather clad unit. As Lotus strongly believes that the driving position is close to perfection, the Lotus Exige S does not provide a multitude of user adjustment to the wheel or seat position. The range of available colors includes black, shades of silver, shades of blue, a vivid Aspen White, non metallic British Racing Green, a hot Chilli Red, a high metallic Solar Yellow and a harmonious Autumn Gold.
