Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII FQ400

The 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII FQ400 was built as a celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of Mitsubishi's entry into the UK market. The car model will feature a price of $85,000 and it will be built in a limited edition run of just 100 cars. Lance Bradley, Mitsubishi Motors UK's Sales & Marketing Director, stated that the new Lancer Evolution VIII MR FQ400 was the ultimate expression of who and what they were as a brand for it represented a versatile four-door saloon that could out accelerate supercars costing almost ten times as much. The Lancer's legendary 2.0-liter turbocharged engine was modified so that it would produce 405 HP and 355 lb-ft of torque. Thus, the FQ400 covers the 0-100 km/h sprint in only 3.5 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 175 mph. However, the engine is not the only factor to influence performance, there is also the sophisticated chassis. The introduction of a new braking system on the FQ400 also ensures that it has the 'stop' to match its 'go', while the electronically-controlled four-wheel drive system and the Bilstein suspension system further enhance the special appearance of the car. The Ralliart aero mirrors, a carbon fibre front lip spoiler and a 'sharks tooth' rear vortex generator, are also highly attractive and functional. Electric windows and mirrors as well as climate control are all available as standard, highlighting the Lancer's appeal as the world's most practical and versatile supercar. Extensive reliability testing was applied to the FQ400 and a three years/36,000 mile manufacturer's warranty will also be supplied.
