Volvo XC70 AWD Volvo Ocean Race Edition

The 2006 Volvo XC70 AWD and Ocean Race Edition represent two exclusive new sports SUV models which had their premiere at the Washington Auto Show, January 25, each of them providing the legendary Volvo safety and style which satisfy even the most demanding of buyers. The unique styling cues of the Ocean Race Special Edition cover the electric silver side molding, the door caps, 17-inch polished Oreander wheels that are fitted with all-terrain tires and an Ocean Blue metallic paint with body colored mirror caps. For the first time on an XC70, the Volvo dual screen rear seat entertainment system is a factory installed option. Power is delivered by the 208 HP turbocharged five-cylinder engine which is also equipped with an advanced all-wheel drive system. The advanced and elegant design of the seven-passenger VOR XC90 SE is enhanced by the lightweight manufacture and flowing lines, while the 311 HP engine paired to a six-speed automatic transmission adds to the high performance character of the car model. The touch of luxury of the valuable package is provided by the light linear wood inlays, the special VOR floor mats, the unique taupe leather seat facings custom stitched as well as the child booster seat. It will be priced at $ 49,860. Volvo Cars of North America, Executive Vice President, Marketing, Hans Krondahl, stated at the Washington Auto Show, that they chose to unveil the VOR editions there because the proximity to Baltimore, thus marking the beginning of their Ocean Race promotion for both Baltimore in May and later New York.
