Dr Ulrich Bez, Aston Martin Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, announced at the 2006 British Motor Show that a limited production run of cars based on the V8 Vantage. Some modifications were undertaken in order to prepare the car for the competitive racing environment from the Nurburgring 24-hour endurance race. Prodrive has launched a range of parts for the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. The range includes a performance pack for the engine, new drive-adjustable suspension, unique forged wheels and a discreet aero package. The tuner has modified the 4.3-liter V8 engine to raise peak power from 283 kW to 317 kW and the peak of torque from 410 Nm to 440 Nm. This way the model is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and can reach a top speed of 293 km/h. The aerodynamics had been analyzed in the wind-tunnel to develop an aero-package to reduce high speed lift by 45%, improving high speed stability and grip. Starting 2007 the range of parts and prices will be available.

Loder1899 decided to improve the Aston Martin Vantage V8 and so, developed a new high-end titanium suspension system. This package is available for the front and rear axles for EUR9.320. The sport exhaust system includes a catalytic converter and is completely assembled from stainless steel. This allows the 4.3-liter V8 to breathe better. In the end, the car can deliver between 385 and 405 horsepower. The tuner also developed different carbon fiber parts that reduce the overall weight of the vehicle. This package costs EUR4.680. The exclusive set of wheels is available from EUR7.000. The tuner also offers a set of very lightweight wheels and it costs around EUR6.000. Last, but not least, the winter wheels can be purchased for EUR2.799.
