2008 Iconic GTR
The GTR Roadster developed by Iconic GTR will have its world premiere at the New York International Auto Show. The model offers a level of performance handling that rivals many modern race cars. Under the hood it hides a V8 naturally aspirated engine capable of developing 800 horsepower. This amount of power enables the car to reach a top speed of over 200 mph. The Iconic GTR is proudly designed, engineered and constructed using state-of-the-art computer-aided design and manufacturing technology entirely in the US with over 99% US sourced materials. Ballard will build one hundred of these high performance pieces of rolling artwork roadsters. The starting price was set for $600.000 and orders will begin in April. The production will start in the fall of 2008.

Reinspeed are the creators of sQuba concept. For safety reasons they had to build the vehicle as an open car so that the occupants can get out quicker in case of an emergency. But safety is actually not the only reason they went for the open-top version, but also to reduce the weight. Power is supplied by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. The sQuba is a 0-emission car as documented by the rotating license plate in the rear. It produces no exhaust emissions. The model features powerful yet energy-saving LED lighting technology. The suspension was built especially for the sQuba and it is an aluminum coil over which is based on the KW Variant 2. The company offers its customers the largest range of adjustable suspension systems.

Callaway Cars developed the new 2008 Callaway Corvette, a high performance upgrade of the standard Chevrolet C6 sold through Chevrolet dealers. The model is powered by a 6.2-liter LS3 engine capable of developing 580 horsepower and 510 lb. ft. of torque and it carries a 3-year / 36.000 mile warranty. Its price was established at $18.500. The output enables the model to reach a top speed of 200 mph. The Callaway Corvette is available as a Coupe or Convertible with a standard or paddle-shifted six-speed automatic. The Landaulet study has as base the Maybach 62 S, the most powerful series-produced chauffeured saloon. The technicians have removed the rear roof module in order to afford passengers an unobstructed view of the sky above. The body of the car has an exclusive finish called the Antigua White. The great comfort is offered by the generous spaciousness of the rear, which the Landaulet study has adopted. Thanks to all the interior entertainment elements, the model offers a lot of traveling pleasure. Karmann developed a soft top convertible that is setting new standards concerning safety, comfort and flexibility in roof construction. The main feature of the innovative flexibility incorporated in this convertible is the Cabrio Overhead Protection System. The soft top is optimized by the largest possible interior. A deep trunk sill and in particular the innovative rear window mechanism create an unusually large trunk area opening. To close it, a roller blind lowers automatically and shields the hood area from paring eyes. At the same time, the roller blind also serves as a variable soft top stow.
