Hyundai introduced a new model called the 2010 Genesis Coupe at a press conference at the New York International Auto Show, a car that is capable of producing 300 horsepower. It features two engines: a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that is capable of delivering 212 horsepower and a 3.8-liter V6 DOHC that can produce 306 horsepower. Both are matted to a standard six-speed manual transmission. First the Genesis Coupe was shown as a concept at the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show as a concept. In keeping with its mission to be the most exciting, affordable sports coupe on the road, the Genesis Coupe boasts a cockpit designed to enhance the driving experience. The model features a wide range of both active and passive safety elements. Standard safety equipment includes driver and front passenger advanced frontal airbags, along with front seat-mounted side airbags, side air curtains and others.

At the 2008 Chicago Auto Show, Hyundai Motor America revealed the Elantra Touring-five-door compact. The model has as base the i30 CW model that was designed for the European market. It offers class-leading interior volume, outstanding front legroom and front and rear shoulder room. Under the hood hides a fuel-efficient 2.0-liter in-line 4-cylinder found in the Elantra sedan.
