Kia revealed its new Forte compact sedan on Thursday and the model will go on sale next week. What you should know is that it is powered by a 1.6-liter engine gasoline or diesel and it is the newest model after another 1.6-liter version of Cerato was released in November, 2003. The carmaker is thinking of adding another 2.0-liter engine later. Until then, this one produces 124 horsepower. The price for the Kia Forte is somewhere between 11.9 million WON ($ 11.300) and 19.6 million WON depending on the accessories. The target sales for this year are 30.000 units. Annual sales for the model will rise to 250.000 annually from 2012. To boost sales, the carmaker revamped its lineup by redesigning its Morning, mid-sized sedan Lotze and the new Mohave sport-utility vehicle. Kia introduced a new model, the 2007 Kia Rondo at the Los Angeles Auto Show last November, a car that is practical and versatile. Since then the Rondo SX Concept was also introduced, a model that has a sophisticated look. On the inside, the concept features luxury sport materials and finishes, the seats are trimmed in gray leather with custom contrasting red leather trim surrounding dark gray Alcantara inserts and brushed stainless steel sport pedals. It is powered by a 2.7-liter DOHC V6 engine that is able to deliver 192 horsepower. It features custom fabricated cold-air intake system, cat-back exhaust and cross-drilled and slotted front and rear brake rotors. On the outside features larger lower intake, new brake cooling ducts, integrated chin spoiler and fascia extensions, restyled front grille with metal mesh grille insert, darkened headlight inner coloring, fender flares, lower rear spoiler and the list can continue.

Kia has more than 630 dealers throughout the United States and so, this market is the most important one for the carmaker.
