Subaru Impreza WRX STI Limited

The 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Limited was unveiled at the 2006 New York International Auto Show and its subtler exterior styling offers greater refinement and comfort, without compromising the performance of this street legend. It will be released in a limited 800 numbered units, of which 400 will be finished in Urban Gray Metallic and 400 in Satin White Pearl, adding design details that aim to reach those driving enthusiasts who are looking for supercar performance. Being inspired from the Subaru WRC Rally Car, this limited edition boasts a more low-key and stealthy appearance as compared to the standard model, showing a new trunk-mounted lip spoiler and an improved front lip spoiler. The BBS wheels were replaced by new Enkei wheels featuring high-luster paint, whiel a more reserved appearance is ensured by the black Brembo brake callipers. This special edition integrates standard fog lights together with high luster paint for the exterior mirrors and distinctive black gloss B-pillar. The interior is driver-oriented with leather and new dark gray metallic bezels and interior trim. As a premiere for the WRX STI, the front seats are heated for all-season comfort, while additional features include new carpeting with improved sound insulation materials and an audio system input jack for an iPod. The car model receives its power from an intercooled and turbocharged 2.5-liter DOHC Boxer engine which delivers 293 HP at 6,000 rpm and 290 lb-ft of peak torque at 4,400 rpm. The strong torque characteristics are enhanced by the Subaru Active Valve Control System and intercooler efficiency during spirited driving is given by the manually operated water spray feature.
