2009 Mercedes-Benz CLS Grand Edition review and pictures

German carmaker Mercedes Benz has introduced a new model, the new CLS Grand Edition special edition vehicle. It has a matt designo paint finish that makes the car impress a lot of viewers. For the interior, the specialists have provided high-grade designo leather and high-quality equipment details. The new Mercedes-Benz CLS Grand Edition features the radiator grille louvres also painted in designo magno platinum. Customers can select from a choice of metallic paint finishes like obsidian black, iridium silver, flint grey or carneol red. In terms of exterior equipment, the model includes bi-xenon headlamps with dark headlamps casings, active light function and cornering light function in the fog lamps, dynamic headlamp range adjustment and headlamp cleaning system. To transfer the output to the road, the engineers have provided high-sheen AMG 18-inch 5-spoke light alloy wheels painted in titanium grey covered in 245 / 40 R 18 tires on the front axle and in 275 / 35 R 18 tires on the rear one. For the interior we get a roof lining in anthracite Alcantara together with the standard-fit sliding glass roof that defines the sporty, elegant style. The trim elements in high-quality laurel wood can be ordered with either a matt or a high-gloss finish. Sport pedals in brushed stainless steel with rubber studs underline the sporting credentials of the CLS Grand Edition. The model also gets COMAND APSMultimedia control and display system, comfort telephony, PARKTRONIC and Grand Edition velour floor mats. In terms of power train, the carmaker will provide 4 engine variants. The new Mercedes-Benz CLS Grand Edition can be ordered from January the 2nd. The price was established at EUR67.294 including VAT and first deliveries will begin in March 2009. These are all the details available so far on the German model.
