Bavarian carmaker BMW will reveal the all-new BMW Z4 Roadster at the North American International Auto Show on January 11th 2009. The new model offers all the driving pleasure of a BMW Roadster with particularly refined and stylish flair. The design of the new Z4 comes out through classic details interpreted in new updated style. The two-seat model offers elegance, agility and supreme comfort. Even with the roof closed, the new Z4 retains the proportions typical of a genuine roadster. Under the hood it the engineers have prepared two choices. To be more precise, the Z4 is equipped with two inline-6 engine displacing 3.0-liters. In the BMW Z4 sDrive35i the engine produces 300 horsepower and in the BMW Z4 sDrive30i it produces 255 horsepower. Both models are available with a manual 6-speed gearbox, but the Z4 sDrive35i is also available with a dual-clutch sport automatic transmission featuring 7 gears. The model enables the driver to choose between three drive train and suspension settings at the touch of a button thanks to the Dynamic Drive Control offered as standard on the Z4. The front view features a large, upright BMW kidney grille, wide air intake and the dual round headlights, typical of the BMW brand. The side view is dominated by the dynamic flow of the shoulder line of the car connecting the front and rear wheel arches and accentuating the stretched, athletic look of the roadster. The entire range of paintwork colors available on the new BMW Z4 is made up of no less than nine color tones including Orion Silver metallic exclusive to the new roadster. High Precision Injection is a key element in the efficient performance of the Z4. This second generation of direct gasoline injection developed by BMW ensures significant benefits in fuel efficiency without restricting the dynamic qualities of the engine.
