Mazda is introducing a special version of the legendary Mazda MX-5 sports car called the Mazda MX-5 20th Anniversary Limited Edition. This model represents great value. With a starting price of EUR16.850 on-the-road, it features 10 additional items of equipment like a unique silver finish, front fog lights, chrome trims, body-colored roll bars and a supporting strut brace. On the inside, the stainless steel scuff plate features a special logo and a limited edition number, a body-colored front dashboard, aluminum pedal set and manual air conditioning. The drivers of the MX-5 20th Anniversary benefit from generous specification of the SE model, on which it is based ensuring comfort and convenience. The standard elements include electric and heated door mirrors, electric windows, remote central locking with deadlock and remote boot release. The carmaker has secured 32% of the Anniversary model production destined for Europe, with around 600 units, reaching showrooms from the 1st of March 2010. Three colors are available, red, white and blue. Under the hood the model hides a 1.8-liter petrol engine capable of developing an output of 126 PS and that then is being sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. This amount of power enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 9.9 seconds and to reach a top speed of 121 mph. On-the-road prices include 17.5% VAT, number plates, delivery, 12 months road fund license, first registration fee, 3 years European Roadside Assistance and 3 year or 60.000 mile warranty. The first seven days will benefit from free insurance.
