The 2011 Audi A1 Black and Contrast UK Editions boast power and performance at the highest possible level. The new options include a 143PS 2.0-liter TDI engine which is paired to a six-speed manual transmission, covering the o-62 mph sprint in only 8.2 seconds, with a maximum speed of 135 mph. Its CO2 emissions are of 108 g/km and the fuel consumption in the combined cycle reaches 68.9. The Contrast Edition is available for 1,350 pounds over the equivalent A1 Sport model and it features a contrasting colour for the roof line and for the aerodynamic body styling elements. Available at an extra cost, a more resolutely sporty look roof spoiler, in a contrasting color, can be purchased by the willing customers. Being based on the top S line specification, the Black Edition alternative is available with the 185PS 1.4-litre TFSI petrol engine, as well as the new 143PS 2.0-litre TDI, adding an elegant and black styling treatment for the number plate holder and single frame grille surround. Xenon Plus headlights with LED daytime-running lights, 18-inch five-arm rotor design alloy wheels and dark tinted rear privacy glass, complete the package. The interior offers a new driving experience due to its full electronic climate control together with the Audi Sound System speaker upgrade giving 180 watts of output. Developing 143 PS and 320 Nm of peak torque between 1,750 and 2,500 rpm, the 2.0-liter TDI is available mated to the Sport, S line, Contrast Edition and Black Edition specification levels. The strong performance is complemented by the outstanding 68.9 mpg combined economy.
