The 2011 Bugatti Veyron L'Or Blanc is the world's first vehicle that uses porcelain elements for exterior and interior design.
The partnership between Bugatti and the Konigliche Porzellan-Manufatur Berlin proved the ability of creating pieces of automotive art. The world premiere of the L'Or Blanc is scheduled to take place at the KPM workshops in Berlin on June 30, 2011. The abstract exterior design of this unique version of a Bugatti Veyron is absolutely captivating. Dr. Stefan Brungs, Director of Sales and Marketing at Bugatti Automobiles, stated that, at first, it seemed an unusual idea to use porcelain in a car, especially for the world's fastest convertible, further commenting that Bugatti's main objectives were the realization of exceptional ideas whilst striving for the utmost in quality and aesthetics, thus allowing them to continue Ettore Bugatti's heritage. At the beginning they planned to integrate the sculpture in their product range and then they began to refelct on the potential for a comprehensive service, resulting in a synthesis of ideas that led them to the outstanding Grand Sport.
L'Or Blanc is a unique creation, showing that Bugatti's designers had great inspiration from porcelain painting offering a large number of varieties of new opportunities for the design.
