2012 BMW 3-Series Touring review and pictures
German carmaker BMW revealed the new estate body style of the 3-Series called the Touring in Europe and not only, but called Sports Wagon in the US. The model will be launched for the European customers this year as the 328i. The model will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine capable of developing 241 horsepower. It will also be launched as the 320d powered by a 2.0-liter turbo diesel capable of developing 181 horsepower and as the 330d offering 255 horsepower with its 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six diesel. All the output is being sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed automatic one for the 330d. Both of the two help improve fuel consumption. These options are only for this year and this is why, BMW will offer more options next year. The 3-Series Sports Wagon will be available in 2013, but unfortunately, no information is revealed so far. The feature list contains a rear window that opens separately from the tailgate, the rear seats can be folded in three sections, a full glass panoramic roof and roof-rails are also available.
