The pricing of the 2012 Buick Verano starts at $23,470, including $885 in destination charges, and the luxury sedan is planned to hit the markets later this year. The car model provides more passenger and cargo volume as compared to the Acura RSX sedan or Lexus IS 250. According to Tony DiSalle, U.S. vice president of Buick Marketing, Verano represents a beautiful new addition to Buick for it manages to expand the brand's reach, inviting new customers into the Buick family, thus giving them the opportunity and privilege of building longtime Buick loyalty. Verano is Buick's first model in the compact segment able to deliver premium features and luxury characteristics that made Buick one of the fastest-growing automotive brands in North America. Three models will be available for the car, all of them being powered by a fuel-efficient 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine connected to a six-speed automatic transmission, producing 180 HP at 6,700 rpm and 171 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,900 rpm. The distinctive features of the exterior include standard fog lamps, 18-inch multi-spoke, forged alloy, silver finish wheels as well as blue translucent projector beam headlamps. The refined interior offers exceptional seat comfort and support, containing Buick's signature acoustic refinement together with premium soft-touch materials inspired by the award-winning Buick LaCrosse. David Lyon, executive director of Verano's design, stated that rich leather appointments, warm wood tones, metallic accents, soft ambient lighting and intelligent technologies made the cabin an inviting environment.
