Germans from Mercedes-Benz introduced a new mode this last weekend. To be more precise, we are talking about the Shooting Brake station wagon, a new version of the CLS. To make a better idea, the model features 5-doors, a coupe profile and a large boot. The new Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake measures 4956 mm in length, 1881 mm in width and 1413 mm in height. The 590-liter luggage capacity can be increased to 1550-liters very easy by folding the rear seats. The carmaker also provided a special tailgate that can be opened automatically and also a cover for the load compartment. In terms of aerodynamics, the model has a lot of advantages even though we are talking about an estate car and a Cd value of 0.29.
The carmaker offers the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake with a choice of four engines. The first one is the CLS 250 CDI, then, the CLS 350 CDI, the CLS 350 and last, but not least the CLS 500. Now, the CLS 350 CDI diesel and the CLS 500 petrol will be available with the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system. All the output will be sent to the wheels through a 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission and uses the ECO start-stop function. In terms of interior, Mercedes-Benz specialists offered luxury and quality to please everyone. The materials used for the interior include aluminum, high-gloss brown burr walnut, cherry tree wood, smoked oak and high-gloss black ash. The carmaker also equips it with Intelligent Light System, LED headlights. In terms of safety and comfort, the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake features Active Lane Keeping Assist, DISTRONIC PLUS, BAS PLU, PRE-SAFE B-rake and Active Blind Spot. Unfortunately the price was not revealed yet, but it seems that Mercedes will send it on the market in November this year for the British customers.
