Japanese carmaker Toyota Motorsport managed to build their new achievement in terms of race cars. To be more precise, we are talking about the new GT 86 CS-V3. Designers want to make it compete in the V3 class of the VLN series. The new car has the package of an entry-level race car that requires low running costs, easy maintenance and that offers great fun. This model comes right after the cost-effective TMG GT86 CS-V3 was launched for private participants.
Under the hood it hides a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine capable of developing up to 197 horsepower just like the standard model. The great rear-wheel drive provides a license to thrill in this and many other production-based championships. The new Toyota GT 86 CS-V3 has a starting price of EUR 38.500 without including the German VAT and goes up to EUR 45.815 after adding the tax.
The road version of the GT 86 was very well received after its official public debut that took place earlier this year thanks to its sporty character, nimble handling and thanks to the fact that is very fun to drive. The Japanese carmaker only managed to add more excitement to the GT86 by developing an all-action race car. The Toyota specialists have modifier the chassis as well, making it stiffer, but also optimized the weight distribution by installing racing exhaust and suspension. To handle the extra horsepower, the Japanese engineers have developed bigger brakes for the new GT 86 CS-V3. In the end, Toyota obtained a very attractive car perfect for the ones that want a fun and easy-accessible racing experience. This model is just perfect for motorsport. The carmaker already started taking orders, but the deliveries will depend on the demand.
