The Los Angeles Auto Show will be the event that will see a lot of new models, concepts and ideas. Many carmakers will present their latest achievements and Volvo is one of them. The specialists have plans of introducing the new Volvo S60 Polestar Concept, which was in fact first introduced in June. The new model features a very conservative body kit, a sport-tuned suspension and to transfer the output to the road, the engineers have offered 19-inch Polestar alloy wheels. This is not where all ends. To handle the extra power, Volvo specialists have provided high-performance brakes, Ohlins shock absorbers and, of course, larger anti-roll bars.
Under the hood, the new Volvo S60 Polestar Concept hides a 6-cylinder engine that features a Garret 3171 turbocharger, a new cylinder head and a Ferrita stainless steel exhaust system. The list of new elements continues with an upgraded air intake and modified combustion chambers. After the modifications of the sedan, the engine was enabled to generate 508 BHP and 575 Nm of torque. If you really must know, this means the model is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and to reach an incredible top speed of 300 km/h. Volvo S60 Polestar Concept is capable of delivering the genuine Volvo driving experience with a high level of power and handling.
Polestar and Volvo have been partners in terms of performance since 1996 and the tuner has been offering tuning technology and parts enhancement to production-model vehicles. The performance upgrade provided by Polestar can be purchased and installed in new and used Volvos at any Volvo dealer. If you are a proud Volvo owner, now you know your options in terms of performance, if what you already have is not enough.
