Not long ago, Heico Sportiv offered a tuning program for the all-new Volvo V40. Now, time has come for the specialists to provide a different package, this time including performance and styling accessories for the premium compact hatchback. In the next few lines we will try to tell you what the tuners have to offer. For starters, the Heico Sportiv engineers have provided power enhancements, sport suspension, wheels and interior and exterior elements and a new exhaust system.
The power package includes the e.motion ECU. This works together with the standard control unit, but it also behaves as an independent additional feature. The official tuning partner of Volvo Car Germany GmbH, Volvo Automobile AG and Volvo Car Overseas Corporation offer the new V40 with D2, D3 and D4 diesel engines. The 5-cylinder D4 oil-burner is fitted with the ECU kit which increases the output to 192 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque up from 174 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. This enables the model to reduce the acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h with 1.0 seconds and to increase the top speed with 10 km/h.
Volvo is also working on other models that are now under development, but will be available on the market soon. These are the turbo direct injection gasoline engines T3, T4 and T5. The tuner still has to offer the styling package that includes a rear skirt housing, a diffuser, a front apron and four chrome-plated tailpipes. On the outside, the Heico Sportiv specialists provided alloy wheels available in three different styles in shades of Bright Silver, Black and Graphite Matt, in 18- and 19-inch. The ride was lowered by 30 mm thanks to the sport springs. For the interior, the specialists have developed a new sport steering wheel and a lot more.
