2013 BMW 4 Series by AC Schnitzer review and pictures
For twenty-five years now, AC Schnitzer has kept open the door to superior vehicle technology from motorsport for committed BMW and MINI drivers. The tuning company develops custom components which meet the highest standards of perfection and which make the difference from the series production. They have just introduced a new tuning program for the BMW 4 Series which has everything: performance upgrades, body parts and interior updates.
AC Schnitzer can offer engine upgrades for the entire 4 Series line. The BMW 428i outputs 216 kW/294 hp, which is 49 hp more than the standard model. The 435i goes from the initial 225 kW/306 hp to 265 kW/360 hp. The diesel 420d can go from 135 kW/184 hp to 160 kW/218 hp. The tuning company finds these extra resources from an ECU reprogramming.
The BMW 4 Series can be equipped with a bespoke exhaust system that features new silencers with a double tailpipe look. AC Schnitzer also places an updated suspension system on the vehicles, as well as a lowering system which brings the cars lower to the ground by 25mm. The inside of the vehicles is not forgotten either. Any 4 Series owner can equip his car with an aluminum handbrake handle, a gear knob with a digital shifting display, an illuminated leather gear knob, an aluminum pedal set and footrest, and floor mats. Different sets of wheels can be fit on the vehicles, varying in size from 18 and 20 inches. There are no details referring to the price of the tuning program.
