For 25 years, AC Schnitzer has kept open the door to superior vehicle technology from motorsport for committed BMW and MINI drivers. The tuning company develops custom components which meet the highest standards of perfection and which make the difference from the series production. They have just introduced a new tuning program for the BMW 6 Coupe, Convertible and GranCoupe.
The tuning program turns the three BMW M6s into more aggressive vehicles. They are equipped with a carbon front spoiler, a chrome grille and a carbon fiber back diffuser. So, carbon is at its home, making the cars lighter and more aerodynamic. Sportiness also becomes higher by placing a sports exhaust system and sets of 20 or 21 inch alloy wheels. Lowering springs are available for the ones who would like to reduce riding height by 15 mm and 25 mm, at the front respectively at the rear.
The three BMW M6 models also receive an engine upgrade, now being powered by the twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine which generates 620 HP (456 kW) and 790 Nm (582 lb-ft) of torque. This means an increase of 60 HP (44 kW) and 110 Nm (81 lb-ft). And the upgrade should enable the model to reach a maximum speed of 305 km/h (189 mph). The vehicles certainly receive some extra personality with this tuning program.
